Mission accomplished was the feeling I had after the screening.
Rough Cut screening to my film The Bboy Connection was a full house event. I didn't know anyone here, only Mark Rock Cordero that came who is also in my film. This proves my point to Hollywood that always tries to put my film and I into the black urban film category that this is for everyone. My last two screenings had 85% of people who are not of my culture and they loved my film and stuck around for the Q&A. They laughed at the funny scenes and were in wow mode. Many thanked me at the end saying they had no idea about not just the history of the bboy but the history of hiphop as well now makes sense to them.

April 15, 2013 in San Francisco was my 3rd screening to my rough cut documentary "The Bboy Connection" which was a success. First time I showed it in public since 2004. They loved it and they understand how important the history is. Amazing to hear people laugh on the funny scenes with Lil Lep, Take One and Frosty Freeze.

They loved the Rock dancers when they talked about how after it died they would get laughed at if they tried it during a flashback and how they decided to get a job. They stuck around after for the Q&A. I haven't even watched my film in a long time and I'm more motivated than ever to get this film completed for the world to see. A history of the bboy dance life that is missing in their life.

2005 Sundance Film Festival 4 minute trailer played before Sundance film screenings.

2004 San Francisco Black Film Festival 20 minute version.

2004 Down town San Rafael Theater 20 minute version. Full house and I was so amazed of the turn out from the locals of Marin County. Searching for photos from this day, might be on my film rolls.
